Chris Brown will be the youngest artist to earn masters

Pop and R&B artist Chris Brown has started the New Year off with a bang. One of the most iconic artists turned low-key has been making moves. He’ll be the youngest artist of all-time to own his masters.

Brown’s upcoming album title “Indigo” will be his first under a new license agreement with his label RCA records.

“This new deal structure between Brown and RCA records will undoubtedly enhance the release of Chris Brown music, content, and much more throughout 2019 and beyond.”

Statement from the RCA

Chris Brown released Fortune, his first under RCA’s umbrella. Following that, Brown released four more: X in 2014, Royalty in 2015 and Fan of a Fan: a joint album with Tyga, and his most recent, Heartbreak on a Full Moon in 2017.

Brown has been a staple in the music industry for nearly 14 years. He’s accumulated 30 million albums worldwide and over 10 billion audio streams through various digital platforms. His Billboard Hot 100 entries surpass all contemporary male singers that are living. He has spent 160 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100.
