Dj and producer Calvin Harris dropped one of the most diverse, interactive albums we’ve heard in awhile.

The cover of “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1” features a sunny, yet empty beach, but this album was jammed packed with many of the hottest artists in hip-hop and R&B. 21 different artists to be exact, all condensed into 10 songs.

This album screams summer time. Harris did a masterful job blending his Pop with the various artists, which made for an album that will likely be the vibe for the rest of summer 2017, into the fall.

Migos, Future, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Big Sean, John Legend, Khalid, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, Snoop Dog and Pharrell Williams. Those are all of his diverse features.

Normally, when artists try to pull this off, it simply doesn’t work. Blending multiple egos, sounds, vibes, and genres typically make albums go south, but this one took off and will go down as one of the best albums of 2017.

This is a vacation playlist caliber of an album.

Showing the album’s diversity, the song “Heatstroke” with Ariana Grande is pure pop music. “Rollin” will remind you of a psychedelic slow jam. “Holiday,” will remind you of a vintage West Coast Snoop Dogg song, with a John Legend R&B twist to it. Takeoff adds his unique sound to it as well, giving it more of a 90s sound.

Every song has a different vibe to it, but they all fit the same mold, which is so unique because of this album’s diversity.
