After falling short in the Group Stage of the NBA Cup’s inaugural season, the Oklahoma City Thunder have punched their ticket to the Knockout Round Quarterfinals, set to begin on Dec. 10, with a commanding 133-106 win over the Utah Jazz.
Thanks to the Phoenix Suns’ victory over the San Antonio Spurs, the Thunder secured the top spot in the West’s Group B and the top spot in the Western Conference with a 3-1 record, clinching their spot in the quarterfinals.
The No. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder will face No. 4 Dallas Mavericks in Oklahoma City on Dec. 10. If the Thunder win their quarterfinal matchup, they’ll head to Las Vegas for the Semifinals on Dec. 14, with the Finals set to take place on Dec. 17.
The Thunder’s NBA Cup journey kicked off strong with a 99-83 win over the Suns but hit a bump with a 110-104 loss to the Spurs. They bounced back on the road, grinding out a 101-93 victory against the Lakers in LA before wrapping up group play in style against Utah.
