For the first time in his career, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams has been named an NBA All-Star.
In just his NBA third season, Williams has averaged 21.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.8 steals. Along with improving his stats across the board, Williams has made a noticeable jump on the defensive end. Williams has blossomed into a lethal part of the Thunder’s three-headed monster of perimeter defenders, joining Lu Dort and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in forming one of the best starting group of perimeter defenders in the NBA.
Williams joins Gilgeous-Alexander as an All-Star, but due to the NBA’s new all-star format, they may be on different squads.
The NBA All-Star game will be held in San Francisco, Calif. on Sunday, Feb. 16 and Williams will be in attendance as a member of the team for the first time in his young career.
