Thunder Upping the Aura After Summer League

Maximum aura. That’s what the Oklahoma City Thunder are approaching following the 2K25 NBA Summer League.

au·ra

the energy that someone around you emits.

From all but three players on the active roster attending Game 2 of the Summer League to the crowd cheering, begging for autographs, and pointing at Thunder budding stars walking into the Cox Pavillion inside of UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center, to living up to OKC’s most-stylish NBA team reputation, it appears the Oklahoma City Thunder are back, after sitting at the bottom of the league a few years ago.

Jalen Williams walked through the door sporting a Bo Jackson Los Angeles Raiders jersey and oversized jean shorts, while Chet Holmgren, as casual as ever, wore a white muscle tank top, showing fans that he’s been in the gym.

More importantly, out of all the NBA players that walked into the arena, including a large portion of the Miami Heat sitting courtside, the reception when J Dub, Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein, Isaiah Joe, and Cason Wallace walked in was quite noticeable above the rest.

From Dub signing autographs to Jennifer Stehlin interviewing Chet during OKC’s game, the Thunder are flipping the “Black of the League” moniker to becoming one of, if not the most star-studded and recognizable teams in the league.
