After numerous injuries during week five and more keynote injuries during week six of the NFL season, who sported the best outfits on gameday?
3. DeShaun Watson, QB: Houston Texans.
Watson has been exposed to a lot in his rookie NFL season. He’s been expected to lead his team and win games, which he’s seemingly doing pretty well.
He’s also done well with coordinating his gameday fits. This is his second week coming in third on our list and it’s only right because he paid homage to an NFL great, Warren Moon, back Houston’s Oilers days. A future NFL great recognizing a Hall-of-Famer has to be noticed.
In addition to his outfit, Watson had a pretty good game in which his team won. He completed 17-of-29 passes for 225 yards, three touchdowns and an interception against the Cleveland Browns. The Texans improved to (3-3) on the season with the 33-17 victory.
2. Mitch Trubisky, QB: Chicago Bears.
Trubisky hasn’t had the big impact everyone expected in his two starts as the Chicago Bears quarterback, but he is (1-1) in those two starts and seemingly got the hang of NFL fashion.
Mitch rocked a double-breasted pinstripe set to his game against the Baltimore Ravens. This clearly isn’t an eye-popping fit, but the businessman-like sophistication he carried while wearing this suit really stuck out and that’s why he’s second on our list this week.
Trubisky won his second start against the Ravens in a 27-24 overtime effort. He didn’t have the biggest game by only attempting 16 passes, eight of which were completed for 113 yards. The win is all that matters though, right?
1. Brad Wing, P: New York Giants.
Brad Wing isn’t the most noticed or known to be one of the best-dressed players in the NFL, but the Giants punter really outdid his teammates and the entire league with his outfit.
Wing sported a Zara corduroy jacket with a shearling collar and an accompanying outfit that simply put the finishing touches on the look. Jackets like these, you build your fit around and he did exactly that.
The Giant’s won their first game of the season after the surprising dominance over the Denver Broncos on Sunday night. Wing punted six times, including a booming 62-yard boot.
