The Oklahoma City Thunder traded Lindy Waters III, a staple of its rebuild, to the Golden State Warriors and received the No.52 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Waters III, an Oklahoma native and former Oklahoma State Cowboy standout, averaged five points per game over his three years with OKC and has developed a reputation for being a solid outside shooter.
Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports that Golden State sees Waters III as a depth piece in the future, and they plan to keep him on the roster past his guarantee date in two days.
According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, who broke the trade originally, reports that Oklahoma City is expected to stay active in trade talks and try to move up the board in the second round.
