Oklahoma City successfully pulled off its second surprise of the night when it traded for the 26th overall pick and selected Dillon Jones of Weber State.
Oklahoma City sent the New York Knicks five second-round picks for the right to select Jones.
Jones was one of the most productive players in the nation as a member of the Wildcats last year, averaging over 20 points a game en route to winning the Big Sky conferences player of the year.
Jones is 22 years old, and projects as a forward in the NBA. He shot 32% from three last season, but he shot nearly four attempts per game, and he was an 85% free throw shooter, so he has upside as an outside shooter.
He also pulled down right around ten rebounds per game in each of the last three seasons.
It remains to be seen if Jones will be able to contribute right away, but his profile suggests he will be able to help sooner rather than later.
