Thunder to play preseason game in Montreal

The NBA has announced that the Oklahoma City Thunder is set to take part in the ninth NBA Canada Series on October 12, 2023. They will face off against the Detroit Pistons in Montreal. This game holds special significance as it marks the Thunder’s return to international preseason play after a gap since 2016, also signifying their inaugural preseason appearance in Canada.

As you may know, Thunder veteran guard Luguentz Dort is from Montreal and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is from Toronto, so this preseason game should serve as a warm homecoming for both Thunder guards.

Across six cities, a total of 15 NBA teams have participated in 16 preseason games as part of the NBA Canada Series, amassing an impressive total attendance of over a quarter of a million Canadian fans.

Stay tuned for ticket availability, which will be announced soon. Fans looking for an exclusive presale ticket access opportunity can register their interest at NBA.com/CanadaSeries.

The Thunder’s full 2023 preseason schedule, along with the specific tip-off time for the October 12 game in Montreal, will be disclosed at a later date.
