Exhale, Westbrook had his routine knee procedure

Thunder fans surely aren’t too happy about the news about Russell Westbrook’s arthroscopic knee surgery, but they weren’t last season and the season before as well. It’s a routine, yearly thing for OKC’s most beloved superstar and he should be completely fine.

One thing that is unfortunate and concerns the average fan is the timing of the surgery. With training camp beginning in two weeks and the preseason three weeks away, the timing of this knee surgery certainly isn’t ideal.

This procedure will sideline Westbrook for at least four weeks, which will likely keep him out of the preseason and potentially the start of the season as well.

However, the long-term health of Westbrook should be fine.
