The Districts Release New Single- “If Before I wake”

In advance of their third album,  The Districts released their second single from the album.

Similarly to the first single, “Ordinary Day”, “If Before I Wake” begins with a slow crawl including only lead singer, Rob Grote’s, vocals, a guitar, and light piano playing, until it the drums finally kick through and the band follows suit.

Throughout the song, Grote sings “I’m too blessed to be depressed” and “I’m just a narcissist” hinting that heavy introspection might be a central theme of their new album, Popular Manipulations, which is due out August 11.
