This has been a great year for the Big 12 Conference. They are the top-ranked conference in the country right now with a projected 7 teams making the tournament. Here are the squads that I think will make it in and the seeding.
1 seeds:
Kansas (23-4), (11-3)
Oklahoma (21-5), (9-5)
3 seeds:
West Virginia (20-7), (9-5)
5 seeds:
Baylor (20-7), (9-5)
6 seeds:
Iowa State (19-8), (8-6)
7 seeds:
Texas (17-10), (8-6)
10 seeds:
Texas Tech (17-9), (7-7)
Just a little something to think about. Obviously the season isn’t over yet and with the Big 12 the way it is this year I am sure things will change. Oklahoma hasn’t been playing as well here lately, it seems like teams have figured out what Buddy Hield and the rest of the team is doing and they haven’t adjusted. This is the bad thing about being a jump-shooting team. If they can’t get past his slump before the conference tournament then look for them to fall out of that one seed and out of the Oklahoma City region which will be detrimental to their progression in the tournament.
