Thunder’s Isaiah Hartenstein Visits Star Spencer High School, Donates $15,000

Oklahoma City Thunder’s impactful center Isaiah Hartenstein is taking his impact off the court and into the community this week, making a visit to Star Spencer High School in Oklahoma City for a hands-on basketball session with the boys’ team.

The visit comes as a follow-through on Hartenstein’s commitment to the program after Skechers, through its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, donated $15,000 to support students facing housing instability while also strengthening the school’s basketball resources.

Rather than a quick appearance, Hartenstein’s visit is built around connection. He’s expected to step directly into practice, lead drills, and offer real-time instruction, giving players a close look at the habits and discipline that helped shape his path to the NBA. The session will also include a team Q&A focused on perseverance, accountability, and navigating the journey to the next level.

For Hartenstein, whose role in Oklahoma City has been defined by physicality, playmaking, and presence, the moment reflects something deeper than basketball. It’s an extension of the same consistency he brings on the floor, now applied to mentorship and community impact.

The event is part of Skechers’ broader initiative with AdoptAClassroom.org, which has raised more than $670,000 since 2021 to support under-resourced schools across the United States and Puerto Rico.

For the players at Star Spencer, it’s more than just a guest appearance. It’s access, perspective, and a reminder that the path they’re chasing is real.
