Quincy Wilson, the 16-year-old sensation from Bullis High School in Potomac, MD, who made history by breaking the under-18 world 400-meter mark, has now been chosen to represent his country at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
His coach, Joe Lee, announced that he had been selected to the Team USA relay pool after placing sixth in the men’s 400m final.
Wilson has been the talk of the track Olympic trials, running elite times by grown men’s standards at 16. Wilson ran sub-45 seconds three times at the trials, including a 44.59 U18 world record in the semifinals.
The Olympic team will be officially released on July 8.
