In late December, the City Council received a briefing outlining the plan to situate the new MAPS 4 multi-purpose stadium on the former Producer’s Coop site, located just south of Bricktown.

OKCTalk’s findings reveal plans to augment the initial $41 million stadium budget by an additional $30 million, with $20 million sourced from tax increment financing (TIF) and $10 million from the Omni Hotel deal with the City.
This revised budget of $71 million would facilitate enhancements, elevating capacity from 8,000 to 10,000 and incorporating shade structures. FC Energy, the professional soccer team in Oklahoma City, has halted operations due to the absence of a suitable stadium but would become the primary tenant upon completion.
The multipurpose facility could host professional and college soccer, high school football and soccer, concerts, and various events, addressing the city’s need for such amenities. Positioned on the former site of the Producer’s Coop cotton seed mill, the 34-acre parcel’s broader plan encompasses housing, retail, and restaurants.
Scheduled for completion in 2027, the stadium project complements the new $1 billion arena, likely on the old Cox Center site. Amidst these developments, the expansive Boardwalk at Bricktown anticipates commencing construction later this year.

Great story! Happy for this growth!
